Welcome aboard, Michele!
I'm so glad to hear that you'll be utilizing Disney Cruise Line's
ground transfers from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral. My family and I love letting Disney do the driving. It's so easy to fly in and hop on the motorcoach, letting them grab our bags, and off we go to the port! My kids are fully entertained by the Disney cruise videos, trivia, and Mickey cartoons that play on the bus, and I'm sure yours will be too!
If your flight arrives really early, you may be waiting at the airport for a bit until the first of the motorcoaches begins to head out to Port Canaveral around 9:30. So, take advantage of all the food options in the airport before you head down to meet your bus. Even if you arrive later, you may want to grab a snack in the airport since there is not food available in the cruise terminal.
When you arrive at the cruise terminal, you'll check in and receive a boarding number. Boarding will begin by calling those numbers and once your number is called, it's time to climb aboard the ship and let your magical vacation begin! There are televisions playing Disney cartoons in the terminal to keep the kids occupied for a bit, but you may want to bring some other activities or snacks as well. Mickey and his pals may pop out for photos with guests who are waiting too, so keep your eyes peeled!
As you board, you'll be directed right to lunch, so you can certainly eat right away, Michele! And then, believe me, you will not go hungry during your sailing because there are fabulous
dining options available 24 hours a day!
Have fun planning this adventure at sea. Please stop back if we can assist with any other questions you might have!
