Welcome to planDisney, ChiChung! Thank you so much for sailing by with your question. We’re delighted to help you get ready for your magical Disney Cruise Line adventure!
You’re smart to start thinking about transportation ahead of time. While Disney Cruise Line’s motorcoach service doesn’t pick up directly from the Walt Disney World
Swan and
Dolphin Hotels, you can absolutely still use this convenient option, with just a short stroll involved.
The closest and easiest pick-up location would be
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, which is just a quick walk (less than 10 minutes) along the beautiful boardwalk from the Swan and Dolphin. It’s a relaxing way to begin your embarkation day, especially knowing that a comfy Disney Cruise Line motorcoach will be waiting to whisk you away to Port Canaveral!
When you’re ready to add ground transfers to your cruise reservation, you have a few easy options. You can use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to make the request or
book them online through the
Disney Cruise Line website under the "Already Booked" and "My Reservations" tabs. If your cruise has already been paid in full, then you’ll want to
call instead of using the app, since changes after final payment can’t be made online. If you booked through a travel agent, they can also assist with adding transfers on your behalf. Just let Disney Cruise Line know that you’ll be walking over to the BoardWalk Inn to catch the motorcoach, and they’ll take care of the rest!
The evening before your sailing, plan to stop by the Bell Services desk at the BoardWalk Inn to confirm your motorcoach pick-up time. Then, on embarkation day, simply walk over with your luggage, check in with the transportation team, and you’ll be off to the ship before you know it. If you prefer to use a different nearby resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Beach Club Resort are also just a short walk away and offer the same service, but the BoardWalk Inn is typically the most convenient option from the Swan and Dolphin.
Now, if you’d rather not walk at all, you could look into Mears Transportation, which has a desk in the Swan and Dolphin lobbies and offers shuttle service to Port Canaveral, or you could arrange a rideshare with Uber or Lyft. Just keep in mind that Disney Cruise Line ground transfers are a popular choice because they’re so easy and seamless. No port arrival time is needed, and no extra planning once you’re aboard that magical motorcoach.
I hope this helps make your journey as smooth and stress-free as possible, ChiChung! Wishing you smooth seas and unforgettable memories. Please don’t hesitate to reach out again. We’re always here and happy to help.
Bon voyage!
