Hi Kathy,
Welcome back to planDisney, and thank you for your continued support of our program and for trusting our advice for your vacation planning. I am also a proud
Chase Disney Visa cardholder and am happy to share the details of using your Disney Reward Redemption Card onboard your next
Disney Cruise Line vacation.
Your Disney Reward Redemption Card acts like a gift card, but you fund this card with reward dollars
earned through the activity of using your Chase Disney Visa credit card. Be sure to
load up those reward dollars to your card before setting sail to ensure you have the maximum benefit transferred to use onboard. Since this is not a true credit card, you cannot add it to your onboard account for direct charges to your stateroom folio throughout the cruise. You do have a few options to ensure those hard-earned reward dollars go towards your cruise fun.
First, you can simply visit the
Guest Services Desk onboard anytime during your cruise and ask to apply the funds from the Disney Reward Redemption Card to your account. This will then apply those funds to an existing balance (or help you get ahead, if you apply it before you begin spending) throughout your cruise. When you pay for items onboard with your
Key to the World Card (your stateroom key card), or when reserved activities such as
Port Adventures hit your account, the reward dollars will be spent first.
You may also bypass a visit to the Guest Services Desk by purchasing onboard credit for yourself prior to sailing.
Please see some more details here that I shared recently with another Guest. I like this option as a little “to me, from me” type of gift, and then I can leave my physical Rewards Redemption Card at home. Find this option under
Onboard Gifts and Amenities, and then select onboard credit to purchase. When making this transaction, enter the amount from your Rewards Redemption Card desired and purchase the onboard credit using that card. The funds will then be available to you in your stateroom account when you board, with a note confirming this action awaiting you in your stateroom.
Be sure to bring your Chase Disney Visa credit card with you on your cruise to
enjoy all the benefits and discounts, Kathy.
Here are some more details on those special cardholder benefits.
I hope one of these options suits your needs and is easy for you to use those special rewards onboard Disney Cruise Line. It’s a lovely cycle to be rewarded for our Disney vacations and then applying those funds back towards even more fun, isn’t it?
Thanks again for being such a fan of planDisney, and I hope we “sea” you again real soon.
Wishing you a magical cruise,
Amy
