Ahoy, Samantha!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you came by to "sea" us because I've been able to cruise twice over the 4th of July, and my birthday happens to be the same week! On both cruises, the characters donned their patriotic attire for the festivities! My family always loves seeing the characters in special costumes so this was a wonderful treat for us. Both cruises offered something different so you may have a deck party to celebrate, face painting, and patriotic music. We received small American flags and red, white and blue streamers as well. You may find that both the youth clubs and cruise staff offer a few 4th of July themed crafts and events. You'll want to check your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for all the details.
I'm also happy to report Disney Cruise Line offers festive birthday packages through their
Gifts and Amenities section. I was surprised with the Birthday Theme Cabin Decorations, and this fun decor put a huge smile on my face every time I opened the door to our stateroom. These can be ordered up to 48 hours prior to departure via the downloadable form online. Celebration cakes are also available for preorder in the Gift and Amenities section and must be ordered seven days prior to your sailing. The cake can be delivered to your stateroom or to your dining table. Be sure to note your daughter's birthday on your cruise reservation, so the dining team can sing to her on her special day!
Also, you don't want to forget to pick up a birthday button from Guest Services. All the crew members, characters and other Guests will want to wish your daughter well throughout the sailing.
Thank you for stopping by, Samantha. Please keep us posted as you continue to plan!
