Ahoy, Phoebe!
How thrilling to be planning your family's first Disney Cruise Line sailing with Captain Mickey and his gang! I remember the excitement and anticipation leading up to our first cruise on the Disney Magic.
The Fantasy is an amazing ship and the
Aquaduck is super fun (and very wet!). The rules to ride the Aquaduck are more about height than age. Your son would need to be 42" tall by the time you sail. You will also need to plan for him to ride with someone who is over the age of 14.
In order for your son to ride the
Mickey's Pool Slide, he will need to be at least 38" tall (and under 64" - I am pretty sure that isn't a problem). This pool is reserved for guests under the age of 14 as well...I *might* have tried to ride since I'm within the height requirement, lol.
In any case, I'm sure your son will enjoy slipping and sliding the day away on the ship! Some of my favorite tips for first cruisers can be found
here.
Please come back and visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions before you set sail.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
