“Going on Disney cruise on March 2020. What is the weather for March on Castaway Cay. I know heavy winds prevents from docking and hoping that don’t happen as Im looking forward to enjoying castaway cay.

    Ahoy Carmen!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I cannot wait for you to experience my favorite Bahamian island, Castaway Cay!  With your cruise approaching quickly, you must be excited to be finalizing your packing list and plans.  That is what I like to do before our high seas adventures to make the time pass faster!

As a Minnesotan, any weather in the Bahamas feels better than our cold!  That being said, I understand your concern with the ability for the ship to dock at this island oasis during your sailing.  It is a highlight of every Bahamian cruise for sure!  Through the first part of the year, including March, Castaway Cay is warm with temperatures in the seventies, but it can be very windy.

Captain Mickey and his pals will make every effort possible to dock the ship at Castaway Cay as they understand that this is a highly popular destination for guests onboard.  Safety is Disney Cruise Line's first priority, so if conditions do not allow the ship to safely dock you will get to enjoy an extra day at sea.

When this scenario has come up on one of our cruises, the ship's Captain did keep us updated throughout the morning so we knew about the conditions.  Cast Members onboard will offer additional onboard activities throughout the day to make your additional day at sea enjoyable if in fact you cannot dock at this port.

Good luck and pixie dust to you as you set sail toward Disney's private island, Carmen!  Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before your magical getaway.

    "Sea" ya real soon!  Angie
