Hey there, hi there Lisa! I'm happy to have you sail on in with your question.
Disney Cruise Line does have a couple of hotels they recommend if you are sailing out of
Port Canaveral for a pre-cruise stay. One is actually located in the Orlando International Airport. The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is just a quick walk from your arrival at the airport, and you can arrange transportation to the port if you are staying here. Also recommended on the Disney Cruise Line website is the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, which is about five miles from the port.
Another option is to look into a
Land and Sea Package, that incorporates a stay at
Walt Disney World before or after your cruise. Even if you didn't want to make the full commitment to a pre-cruise Walt Disney World vacation, a stay at one of the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels can be a real treat. Enjoy a beautiful room, a fantastic
dining experience, and you can even arrange
Disney transportation to the port.
If you're going to look for a hotel on your own in the Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral area, Lisa, check out the options. Some include a shuttle to the port, either for free or a nominal fee; and other hotels include a cruise and park option, where if you stay there the night before and use their shuttle, you can leave your car parked at the hotel. In some cases, this ends up being a bit of a savings over parking at the port.
Happy planning, Lisa!
