Does Disney cruise line offer a beverage package for soft drinks as well as alcoholic? If so what are the price of those and how do you sign up?

    Cheers, Alexandria!

Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question. It sounds like you are reading to work up a thirst on your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation!

You will be happy to know soft drinks are complimentary on Disney Cruise Line, with the exception of ordering them from Room Service or at one of the lounges or bars. If you are dining in one of the main Rotational Dining rooms (for breakfast, lunch or dinner) you can order as many soft drinks as you care to drink. If you are dining at Cabana's or Marceline Market, you can refill your soft drinks to your heart's content. And here is the best news for soda lovers, the complimentary self-serve beverage station on the pool deck is open 24 hours! Coffee, tea and water are also available.

As far as adult beverage packages, you won't find those aboard Disney Cruise Line either, but as you may guess, there are other options to whet your whistle that I think are better.

First, Disney Cruise Line allows each Guest 21 years and older to bring up to two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750ml) or six beers (no larger than 12oz) on board in carry-on luggage at the beginning of the voyage and each port-of-call. You will need to carry these items with you until your stateroom is ready, which could take a few hours, so keep that in mind. Alcohol brought onboard or delivered to your stateroom is intended to be enjoyed in your stateroom. If you decide to take one of the bottles of wine you brought on board to dinner, you will be charged a corking fee.

Before you set sail, you can also order beer and wine to pick up on embarkation day. You can also pre-order a wine package from a selection of top-notch wines. You can enjoy these with your dinner (no corking fee). When you arrive to your stateroom, you will receive a message card letting you know how to pick up your beverages or you can present the card to your dining service team to enjoy a bottle of wine with your dinner. If you don't finish the bottle with dinner, you may take it to your stateroom or ask your serving team to have it available on your next dining rotation.

Now, if it is spirits you're after, you can take advantage of the Drink of the Day, which is one of several specialty cocktails offered at a reduced price. I also enjoy the Adult Beverage Tastings. These tastings are not only fun and refreshing, they are also informative. I was just on Disney Magic and enjoyed the Mixology tasting. I learned so many new things about champagne, how to muddle ingredients properly, and how to make a delicious sangria. I was even given the opportunity to assist the mixologist!

I hope this information is helpful, Alexandria, as you plan your perfect Disney vacation. Please let us know if you have other questions; we love assisting other Guests!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
