We are going on the Disney Cruise leaving out of the Port of Miami and then traveling back up to WDW for a stay at the resort. How do we travel from the Port of Miami to WDW?

    Welcome aboard, Michelle!

Hooray for your upcoming sailing with Disney Cruise Line! My family and I have sailed with Captain Mickey and his crew out of many different home ports, and all of them have been fabulous. You're in for a warm and wonderful adventure from Miami!

While Disney does offer Ground Transfers from Port Canaveral to the Walt Disney World Resorts, there are not Disney transfers from Miami to Walt Disney World, due to the distance. However, many guests that sail from Miami do choose to extend their vacation by taking the drive up to Orlando following their Disney Cruise for even more Disney magic at the parks! Your best bet will be to rent a car from a rental spot near the port of Miami. If you choose National or Alamo, it'll be the most convenient because once you're at Walt Disney World, you can return your car right there on Disney property at the National or Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center and then take Disney's complimentary shuttle transportation over to your resort. It couldn't be easier! Once at Walt Disney World, you won't need that rental car, since you can use Disney's transportation to take you to any of the parks and Disney Springs.

Have fun planning your big trip, Michelle!
