We are going on a Disney Cruise leaving out of Port Canaveral and I was wondering how early we should be at the port for check-in? I believe the cruise is leaving at 4PM.

    Ahoy Victoria!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on your upcoming voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question! I've cruised with Disney many times from several different departure ports, but my absolute favorite one is Port Canaveral. We often drive so it's always thrilling when we catch that first glimpse of our Disney Cruise ship in the distance! It's a magical moment for us every single time! Even though the ship will sail around 4:00 p.m., the terminal will be open around 10:00-10:30 a.m. for arriving Guests. When you complete your online check-in (your online check-in date can be found under "My Reservations" after clicking "Explore Activities" on the Disney Cruise Line website), you will be able to select a Port Arrival Time. Currently, times range in 30 minute increments starting at 10:30 a.m. and running until 3:30 p.m. Disney Cruise Line moved to the staggered arrival times a few years ago, and it really helps make boarding smooth and seamless, so I recommend choosing a time that works well for your family. If you have purchased transfer vouchers through Disney Cruise Line transportation, port arrival times will not appear. They will schedule your family depending on your arrival at the Orlando airport or by your Disney Resort pick-up time.  Just so you know, it does not take long to drop luggage, park the car, go through security and check-in at the terminal. You can plan about 30 minutes or less. Typically, boarding will not take place until around 11:30 p.m. or noon. Boarding numbers are given at check-in and do coordinate with your port arrival time. Be sure to arrive around your scheduled time or after so you don't have too long to wait. The Disney Cruise Line terminal is bright and airy, and you may even see the big cheese himself so have your autograph books and cameras ready!
Thank you for stopping by, Victoria! If we can assist you further, let us know!
Have a magical day and happy planning,
    Nancy
