We are going in our 2nd Disney Cruise leaving from New York. Should we arrive late the day before and just wait at the airport until our transport in morning. Any helpful tips on what's best to do?

Welcome aboard, Sandra! Congratulations on your upcoming cruise with Disney! Now that you've already experienced one enchanted sailing with Captain Mickey, you have an idea of all of the magic that awaits you on this second cruise!

Did you know that Disney offers ground transfers from both the LaGuardia International Airport and the JFK Airport in New York? If that's what you already have booked, hooray! Disney makes it so easy to transition from land to sea and back again when you use their ground transfers! When my family and I fly in before we set sail with Disney, we try to fly in the day before, just to ensure that any flight delays won't make us miss the ship! But, we have occasionally flown in the morning of the cruise, too, and that's been easy, as we simply head straight to our ground transfers to go to the port.

If you choose to fly in the day before, Disney has partnered with the the New York Marriott Marquis, in the heart of Times Square, to offer its cruise guests a wonderful resort to enjoy before setting sail. We love staying at the partner resorts when we cruise out of ports other than Port Canaveral, because Disney takes care of all of the details, and we have extra time to explore a new city. You can book ground transfers to take you to the resort so you can spend the whole day enjoying and exploring New York City. Then, get a good night's sleep, and meet your motorcoach the next morning for the trip to the port, right at your resort. They'll even send your bags ahead to the ship for you that morning! It's a wonderful way to squeeze one extra day out of your vacation and get to enjoy the exciting city for a night! Disney Cruise Line's agents can add ground transfers and partner resort accommodations to your existing reservation, so give them a call at (800) 951-3532.

I hope that helps as you get ready to set sail, Sandra!
