Ahoy there, Elizabeth!
Welcome aboard
planDisney! It's great to see a fellow traveler from Maryland here! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare to set sail for adventure on
Disney Cruise Line. You'll love escaping to the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea during the height of winter in our neck of the woods. Let's talk about dropping anchor at enchanting
Cozumel, Mexico.
You are welcome to explore independently if you choose to forego one of Disney Cruise Line's
Port Adventures. Cozumel is a bustling port of call with various land and sea activities. You'll find shops, restaurants, and even a beach within walking distance of your disembarkment point. Other beaches and resorts (many offering day passes to cruisers) are accessible by taxi. If you decide to venture past the port shopping area, cabs are easy to find and will conveniently accept US dollars.
If you're looking for other ideas for things to do on your own, my planDisney pal
Alison loves spending the day at Mr. Sanchos, a beach club perfect for the whole family. She especially stopping by if you have active kids in tow to enjoy the floating water park. Meanwhile, my friend
Jana often opts for an underwater adventure by booking a scuba trip with a local dive shop to explore some of Cozumel's legendary coral reefs.
Whatever you choose, be sure to keep an eye on the all-aboard time in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and plan to head back to the ship with time to spare. If you book an official Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure, rest easy knowing the ship will wait for all guests on those excursions before heading back out to sea.
I hope this is helpful and that you have an incredible time on your trip. Please reach out again if there's anything we can do to make it even more special and have a magical day!
Betsy
