Welcome aboard, Melissa! My family and I love sailing with Disney in the winter. It's so wonderful to escape the chilly weather here in Ohio and head south for the warm waters of the Bahamas and Caribbean. Since you're from Michigan, I bet you'll really enjoy leaving the snow behind and diving into the summer-like waters on your cruise this January!
That last morning is bittersweet, as you'll have had such a magical time onboard, and it then comes time to say goodbye. Guests who have had the
Main Dining at dinner will be assigned a breakfast that last morning of 6:45 a.m. Those who had the Second Seating at dinner will be assigned a breakfast for that morning of 8:15.
Cabanas buffet is also open if you prefer to eat at a time other than your scheduled breakfast that day.
All guests are asked to be out of their staterooms by 8:00 a.m. and guests must be off the ship by 9:00 a.m. The ship is normally all cleared to begin disembarkation by 7:15 or 7:30 a.m. Guests who are carrying all of their own luggage off the ship (instead of sending it ahead the night prior as most guests do) can leave first, followed by any other guests. Once you head off the ship, you'll need to collect any luggage in the terminal luggage claim area and then make your way through customs. I'd allow an hour from leaving the ship to any transportation outside. It has only taken us that long once, when we seemed to be leaving at the same time as everyone else. However, normally, about a half hour to forty minutes and we've been clear.
I hope those details help as you count down the days until you set sail with Disney. Stop back again, Melissa, if you have other questions before you head out to sea. We're happy to help!
