    We're going on a Disney cruise and I'd like to bring a sport-brella (beach umbrella) to Castaway Cay. Are these allowed? Also, why can I not take a surge protector for my medical equipment? I have a cpap. Thank you

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love to help out a fellow Georgian with their cruise plans! I have great news about Castaway Cay! There are large umbrellas available all over the island, so there is no need to bring your own! There are plenty for everyone who needs one, so this will be one less item you need to pack. I double-checked with Disney Cruise Line about bringing a surge protector for your medical equipment. Unfortunately, they are not allowed even in this case, but they do have extension cords that you can borrow from Guest Services. The representative I spoke with recommended calling Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 so the request for the extension cord can be added to your reservation notes. Hopefully, this will do the trick, Earl!
