Ahoy, Elizabeth!
I love that you are already thinking about enjoying some pampering at the
Senses Spa on your cruise next month. I believe you are setting sail on a Bahamian voyage on the Disney Dream, so here is the scoop on what is offered on your sailing. In the
Gift and Amenities Section of the Disney Cruise Line website, you'll be able to purchase a one-day pass to the ultra relaxing Rainforest Room. This one-day option is all that is available prior to cruising and must be paid for three days before you depart. Multi-day passes for individuals and couples are available, but must be purchased once onboard. With the one-day pass, you can visit as often as you like on the day your pass is valid, and there is a limit to the number of passes sold. You can add on some DIY salt scrubs for an additional fee, and several scents are offered.
The Rainforest Room is filled with showers, steam rooms, a dry sauna, hot tubs and my favorite...the heated tiled loungers! As someone who is always cold, I could laze on these curved loungers all day long! But, before I soak up the warmth, I do explore the showers, steam rooms and sauna. The showers are a feast for your senses with varying temperatures and pressure points, delightful smells, soothing sound effects and lights. There are two steam rooms-the Caldarium (really hot) and the Hamam (not so steamy) and then the dry sauna-the Laconium. After flip-flopping around the showers and steam rooms, I enjoy the amazing views from the loungers. There are also two hot tubs in an enclosed balcony area just beyond the tiled loungers. Since this area is co-ed bathing suits must be worn, and you do have full access to the spa locker room and showers with your pass.
I hope this helps with your plans for relaxation!
