We want to take the Disney cruise in early April 2019 to the Bahamas. What is the ocean like then?

    Welcome aboard, Susan!

I love sailing with Disney Cruise Line, so any time of year is the perfect time in my books! However, April would certainly be a great time to cruise with Captain Mickey and his crew. You shouldn't have any worry about rougher seas from hurricane season since you'll be far off from that time of year, and the weather will certainly be warm and beautiful!

The average highs in April in the Bahamas are in the mid 80's, so you'll enjoy a real summer-like getaway! Whenever we've sailed in the spring, our cruises have been smooth. Of course, the ship's captain will do his best to navigate away from any rough weather and waters, but there is always the chance of a little rocking here and there. If you're at all worried about that, choose a stateroom on a mid-level deck in the Midship area. You'll experience less movement there.

I hope that helps and that you decide to go ahead and book what is sure to be a magical adventure at sea, Susan! There is so much included in your Disney Cruise Line vacation that everyone in the family will feel like the trip was designed exclusively for them!

    Happy planning!
