    This will be my 3rd Disney cruise on the Dream and my family would like to dress up as pirates, where would you suggest we might purchase items?

    I love to hEAR your crew is planning on dressing like pirates for Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean festivities on your March cruise. My family has purchased and made our own costumes so I hope my pirate attire suggestions will help make this event a fun-filled evening on the Disney Dream. If you have a Party City close by, I definitely recommend checking there first because they usually have pirate gear in stock throughout the year. If you strike out at Party City, I would suggest checking online Halloween themed stores because they also keep costumes in stock all year long. If you want to go the DIY route, you can always buy some plain white t-shirts from a craft store and cut the sleeves and shirttail in a zigzag pattern. A piece of black fabric can be used as a belt and an old pair of black pants or leggings can be cut off in the zigzag pattern as well. Bandanas are given out to all guests aboard so you won't have to worry about purchasing those ahead of time. Another option that you may want to consider is waiting until your cruise to visit Mickey's Mainsail on Deck 3. They always have pirate options available including eye patches and clip-on gold pirate earrings.
