We are going on a Disney cruise April 13-20. We are booked for early dining so I know this means we get off the ship early in the morning. Our flight doesn't leave until 3:20 pm. What do you recommend we doing the time frame?

Welcome aboard, Amy! I see you live in Ohio! That is where I am too, so I know that right now, in this arctic cold, is a perfect time to be dreaming about your upcoming cruise with Disney in the warm Caribbean waters! If only we were on the ship today, right?

Those guests with the Main Dining for dinner will be assigned a 6:45 a.m. breakfast on the final morning of the cruise. Of course, since you don't have to be at the airport right away, you might instead choose to head up to Cabanas buffet to enjoy a breakfast at your own time that isn't quite so early.

If you've booked Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation to the airport, motorcoaches leave on a continuous basis until all guests have disembarked, so you might plan to head off as late as possible before boarding the bus to the airport. If instead, you're renting a car for the day, you can opt to go explore! There are many major rental car agencies near the port which will be glad to pick you up after the cruise to shuttle you to their office where you can pick up the car to later to returned at the Orlando airport. I would suggest the 45 minute drive to the Walt Disney World Resort area where you could spend a few hours exploring Downtown Disney before driving your rental car to the airport. The nice thing about doing this is that your luggage can be left in your rental car, you'll have the freedom to enjoy some extra Disney shopping, and you can have lunch at one of the restaurants there. If you do this, be sure to make advanced dining reservations so you're all set and you won't have to worry about being late to the airport.

I hope that gives you an idea of a fun way to spend your last day of vacation, Amy! Let me know if I can help with anything else before you set sail!
