Contemporary is a true classic, and I can't think of a better spot to call "home" during your vacation. I mean, where else can you see a monorail cruise right through your hotel and catch jaw-dropping views of Magic Kingdom all at the same time? Talk about magical!
How exciting that you have a reservation at
California Grill...what an incredible dining experience you're in for! I went ahead and checked the schedule for your date, and it looks like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is happening that evening. That means you'll get to see the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks at 10:00 PM. Talk about perfect timing! You'll be able to relax and enjoy your delicious dinner, and then head out to the California Grill observation deck for an unforgettable view of the show. One of the best parts is that the music is piped in right there, so you'll feel completely immersed in the magic...without the park crowds!
If you're hoping to catch
Happily Ever After, it looks like the fireworks are currently scheduled for October 8th and 11th, usually at 10:00 PM. Just keep in mind that entertainment schedules are always subject to change, so I recommend double-checking the most up-to-date times in your
My Disney Experience app during your visit.
If you'd like to view the fireworks from outside of
Magic Kingdom, the bridge between the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower is a fantastic spot. Another option is to hop on the monorail and head over to the beach at either the Grand Floridian or the Polynesian Resort, where you'll have a beautiful view and plenty of pixie dust to go along with it.
To answer your other question, you'll be happy to hear that the Contemporary has
self-service laundry available on the second floor. The machines are even smart-enabled, so you can get a text when your load is done. That means you can toss in a load, head out to grab a Mickey bar, and come back just in time to switch it over...practically perfect!
