    how does Disney choose the family to open the Magic Kingdom Park in the morning?

    Hi, Kara!
    Thanks for checking in with the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Becoming the Family of the Day that helps open Magic Kingdom Park with the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show is a pixie dusted experience you can't schedule. The only thing I know you can do is get to the entrance of the park long before it opens. Be yourself, take the time to say hello to Cast Members and make sure your family is in a good mood. You can't ask to become the Family of the Day. It is a decision that can't be forced. A Cast Member quietly picks a family out to participate. 

    No matter what happens, I know your family will have an unforgettable experience at Walt Disney World Resort! Let me know if I can help you with any of your planning questions!
