    Hi Jennifer!

It sounds like you are off to a great start in planning your Disney vacation. Our family thinks that a Character meal is a must-do when we visit. There is something very special about dining with Mickey, Minnie, or Pooh!

One great way to make a character meal more affordable is to go at breakfast. Meals tend to increase in price, with breakfast being the most economical. If you plan a late breakfast, it can also serve as an early lunch making it even more affordable!

Personally, our favorites are Crystal Palace for fun interaction with Pooh and Friends. Another great choice is Chef Mickey's where you can dine with Mickey, Goofy and friends. You really can't go wrong with either one! Both are also buffets, which (hopefully) means you'll be able to find something for everyone to enjoy!

Unfortunately, regardless of how much a child (or adult) eats at a buffet or family-style meal, you will be charged for their meal. If you choose a meal at a plated-meal restaurant then will have the option of not ordering any food for the child or sharing with them.

Hope you have a great time!
