Going to Disney to celebrate my daughter’s 3rd birthday. We will be in Disney a few days before her birthday and purchase my husband and my tickets then. Do we have to buy her a ticket for her birthday and the next day? We are not staying at a Disney hotel

Hi Magna and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Happy, happy birthday to your princess! I know she will have the best time during your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort

Guests under the age of three on the first day of their vacation, will not have to have theme park tickets purchased for them when they are celebrating their birthday during their visit. In other words, your daughter will be celebrating as a two-year-old during the duration of this upcoming stay.

Magna, I did notice that you are a Florida Resident. When purchasing theme park tickets for yourself and your husband, make sure to look for Special Offers available to Florida Residents. I find that the Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets are a great value!

I also have a toddler and I find that her favorite park to visit is the Magic Kingdom Park. There are lots of attractions that she can enjoy there!  For some tips on how to keep your birthday girl immersed in the magic, visit the Planning for Preschool & Little Ones web page.

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. Helping you with the details of your next visit is our pleasure!
