Welcome to planDisney, Tracy, and thank you for stopping by with this great question.
Disney's Pop Century Resort is one of my family's favorite places to stay when we visit
Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm thrilled you're considering it for an upcoming trip. One of the main attractions for us is the convenience of using the
Disney Skyliner to get to
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, so let's look at transportation options from this fun resort.
I recently rode the Skyliner to EPCOT while my husband did some work from our room at Disney's Pop Century Resort. But when he was ready to join me, a typical summer storm blew in and closed the Skyliner temporarily. The Cast Members at the Skyliner advised him to use the
Walt Disney World Bus Service, and signs were posted directing guests to use the buses during the rain.
But on sunny days, Tracy, those buses to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios typically do not run from Pop Century. Guests planning to visit those two theme parks must take the Disney Skyliner, while guests heading to
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park would hop aboard a bus.
I spoke with a high-flying Cast Member who confirmed that the Disney Skyliner is currently the only complimentary transportation offered between Pop Century and EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. Buses are only available if the Skyliner is temporarily not operating. She suggested using a rideshare option like a
Minnie Van if you prefer not to ride the Skyliner.
Tracy, I hope your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is lovely and has a fantastic view above the treetops! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
