    I am a Disney buff. I was a DVC member in the past. I am planning a trip in June and have not stayed at a moderate in 15 years. I am bringing 5 kids and two grandmother's. Do I go DVC rental vs Caribbean? I don't want to be disappointed with it

    Hi Laurel! As a Disney buff and former Disney Vacation Club member, you’ve got a friend in me! It sounds like you are planning a fantastic vacation this summer, and honestly you can’t go wrong with either choice. But, I will happily share my opinion why each is enchanting in their way.

    I’m sure you’ve heard that Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort recently underwent an extensive sprinkling of Pixie Dust! From the vibrant colors to the lush landscaping, the resort immediately transports you to the blue waters of the Caribbean. I visited recently, and standing outside of Sebastian's Bistro with the Calypso rhythms and gentle breeze I knew that I had found paradise! My children LOVE the beach-related activities, including The Unsolved Mysteries of Barefoot Bay - a clue-finding cruise exclusive to young buccaneers.

    You are so lucky to have two grandmothers joining you! If they are anything like my children’s granny, they will enjoy leisurely walks along the scenic property. You might want to consider requesting rooms on the islands of Martinique or Aruba, that way you will be closer to Old Port Royale and all the action.

    With your large party, I understand why you are considering a Disney Vacation Club rental. The convenience of a kitchen and laundry are tough to beat! I also love the variety of options regarding space - The Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa would fit your party perfectly.
