    Will Disney be bringing back store to resort delivery service if you purchase items in the parks?

    Hello there, Phoebe,

    It’s great to see you here at planDisney! You are a Disney planner after my own heart; always thinking about what new magical reminder of your Walt Disney World Resort visit you can purchase on your vacation! 

    One of my favorite perks of being a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel was the ability to have theme park merchandise purchases delivered to my resort, so I am also anxiously awaiting the return of this service. Now, our friends over at Disneyland Resort have happily seen this service return, so fingers crossed that Walt Disney World Resort will see it soon. I suggest you join me in keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements and keep checking back with us here at planDisney, too. In the meantime, Phoebe, I have a few suggestions that have helped me fulfill my shopping dreams without having to wrestle packages as I’m riding the wildest ride in the wilderness. 

    At each of the theme parks and water parks, you can rent a locker located near the park entrance. This is a handy place to deposit your purchases and other personal items you would like to store during your day. Another option is to inquire with the Cast Member at the merchandise location to see if they can hold your package. I've had luck with this option when purchasing single, large items. There is no guarantee that this option is available, but you can always ask! If you opt for either of these plans, remember this tip—set a reminder on your phone to return to retrieve your items. With all the excitement that comes from a day in the parks, it’s easy to forget. 

    Speaking of setting reminders, if I see an item somewhere and I want to return to purchase it later, I'll set a reminder. If you return and the item is no longer available, be sure to ask a helpful Cast Member if there are more in stock. Sometimes they can retrieve an item from stock, or they can help you locate the item at a different merchandise location.

    Phoebe, did you know that many merchandise locations will ship your purchases directly to your home for a small fee? Just ask a Cast Member for assistance. The feeling you get when the pixie-dusted package arrives at your home is pretty special.
