We will be at disney 3/2-3/9. I have basic dining for my husband, 2 yr. old and 3 yr. old . 4 charachter dining experiences have used up all our meals. Should we upgrade to the deluxe dining or will the base package be enough?

That is a great question! I am a big fan of the Disney Dining plans, and have kids at about the same ages as yours. For our next trip we planned out several character meals, and "ran out" of meal credits as well. So we considered moving up the deluxe plan. The verdict? No!

Again, I am a big fan of the meal plans, even the deluxe. When our kids are older (teens), we will choose that one. But with younger kids we can only take them to table service meals so many times in a week before they are overfed and just not eating any more. So it didn't work out to our benefit because we were going to be using table service credits on less expensive counter service meals.

I actually mapped out what we would order, by restaurant, by meal, for the entire week. I just couldn't make the math work where it saved me money. At least not while they are little tikes that just don't eat very much.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
