can I use my Disney band for a hopper pass and a pass I purchased for another day?

Strike up the band, Amy! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for this fabulous question. I realize you're not talking about a marching band, a brass band, or even a pep band; I'm afraid my sense of humor is not tuba funny. But let's see if I can drum up an answer about your actual topic: MagicBands!

MagicBands make everything more convenient when you visit Walt Disney World Resort. These colorful little snap-on bracelets become your Disney Resort hotel room key, your payment method for food and merchandise, and even your theme park ticket. I recently upgraded to a MagicBand+ for its recharging capabilities and interactive features.

I'm not sure what type of band you have, but let's look at how you can ensure it's linked to your admission types. As long as your MagicBand is active and connected to your account, it should work seamlessly with any theme park tickets also linked to your account. You can check your admission on your mobile app by tapping the My Tickets & Passes tile and scrolling through your valid tickets. If you don't see a ticket, tap the blue plus sign in the upper right of the tickets screen to link admission.

To see what MagicBands are attached to your account, scroll to the Profile section of the Welcome screen in your app and select MagicBands & Cards to see all linked media. Linked bands should work as theme park admission for all tickets in your account.

Remember that most non-date-based tickets require theme park reservations, so you'll choose the ticket you want to use for a specific reservation. Your MagicBand will know which ticket to use when you scan in at the theme park entrance. It's like, well, magic!

When I have more than one valid ticket in my account, I often mention it to the Cast Member at the scanning area before I tap my MagicBand. I let them know I have a specific ticket I want to use that day, and they typically bring over a Cast Member with a data pad to help.

If you have additional questions about your bands, feel free to call the My Disney Experience helpline. They can see your linked MagicBands and admission to ensure you're all synced and ready to go.

If you have a MagicBand+, I recommend heading to Festival of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This musical extravaganza has always been one of my favorites, but my MagicBand+ "plussed" it up to a whole new level! I don't want to spoil the fun, but take my word: your band will dance and light up as much as the Tumble Monkeys!

Amy, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I've been honored to help you today. Have a wonderful visit, and come back to planDisney anytime! And-a one, and-a two, and-a....

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
