    Hi I will be going to disney this august and i was wondering when would be the best time to see the characters at the magic kingdom?

    Hi Karen,

    Many many years ago, when I first began visiting Disney World, I can recall how difficult it was to find Mickey and his friends. The characters were available at limited times and were sometimes in locations difficult to find.

    Mickey must have been missing the guests too, within the last few years, he and all of his Disney pals have been out and about most of the day. When visiting Magic Kingdom, you will be greeted by a number of Disney characters the minute you enter the park. Disney characters that take turns visiting with guests in the area right outside City Hall and Tony's Town Square. The characters alternate here but are out for short periods of time throughout the day. You can also find Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Peter Pan and Wendy out near the Pirates of The Caribbean attraction in Adventureland. Stitch likes to come cause trouble in Tomorrowland and Ariel has her very own Grotto in the back corner of Fantasyland. Except for brief visits to shine her tail, she enjoys visits all day. The best spot to visit with the Disney characters is Toontown. Inside Mickey's Judges Tent, Mickey enjoys photos with his favorite guests and right inside the Exhibition Hall, you will find a number of lines with a number of Disney like the Princesses, Pooh and even Tink and some of her fairy friends.

    Most characters are available for the majority of the day, minus a snack break or two, however the best thing to do is consult the daily calendar available when you enter the park or at most merchandise shop registers. You can also ask the Cast Members for help finding a particular character. They have access to the Character hotline and can tell you where your favorite will be and at what time. Be sure to have your camera and autograph book ready and smile!
