We will be going to Disney in April. The arrival day we will be checking into our resort but not going into the park. Will our dining plan be available starting that day of check in or does it start on our park days?

    Hi, Brandi

It's so great to hear you have a vacation to Walt Disney World planned that includes a dining plan!

Yes, your meal credits will be available as soon as you check in. They will all be given to you in one go and anyone who is staying in the same room with you will be able to use them as they see fit. The number of meal entitlements will be given to you based on the number of nights you will be staying not based on the number of park tickets you have.

You will have plenty of flexibility on how to use them. You may choose to use two table service credits on one day and zero the next day; it is totally up to you! Remember that now, guests are able to track their used and unused meal entitlements on the My Disney Experience app and also order food ahead of time from their mobile device and use their dining plan credits to pay for their food.

Brandi, I hope this information is helpful. I wish you an unforgettable trip to Walt Disney World! Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as many times as you need to! We are always happy to help!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
