The Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge website states that there is a water slide at the Animal Kingdom Lodge pool. Is there a height or age restriction for the water slide?

There are no height or age restrictions for the water slides at the WDW resort hotels.

While there is no height limit, each slider must ride alone. A child cannot go down on an adult's lap. The water at the bottom of the slide is about chest high on me, probably four feet deep. I have seen brave three-year-olds go down this slide, usually wearing a life vest.

When my kids were small, my husband would accompany them to the top of the slide and I would wait at the bottom of the slide to catch them as they came down. The lifeguard will not let you stand directly in front of the slide, but even if you are a few feet to the side, you can get to your child quickly at the bottom.

Enjoy your time at the pool.
