Hello Disney advisors! Coming to WDW 08/28 to 09/05 with DH, DS12 and twin boys who will turn 1 while we are there. First time travelling with the babies (we just adopted!) and very nervous. Staying BLT. ???Where to eat/attractions/celebrations. HELP!

    Linda,

Congratulations on your adoption - how wonderful!  Disney is a great place to celebrate a birthday, and I'm sure you will have a wonderful family vacation.

When you arrive, be sure to tell the cast member at check-in that your boys will be celebrating their first birthday.  They will give you birthday buttons for them, and even if you don't want them to wear the pins, they can go on your stroller and be nice souvenirs of their first Disney milestone.

My young daughters really love celebrating birthdays at Chef Mickey's, in the adjacent Contemporary Resort.  It's a very fun and festive character meal, and they celebrate with regularity throughout breakfast and dinner.  This meal features the Fab Five - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.  When you book your meal here, tell them it is for a birthday party.  Special treats will be a nice surprise for the little ones!

if you'd like something a little more upscale, I highly recommend California Grill atop the Contemporary resort.  This restaurant boasts stunning views of the Magic Kingdom, and fantastic food.

If you'd like to order a cake for your room, or to enjoy at any restaurant on property, you can always call the cake hotline at 1-407-827-2253.  They will be happy to help you create a masterpiece your boys can enjoy.

    Have a great vacation!
