    Does Disney accept cash

    Hiya Brian,

Welcome to planDisney! I have always loved seeing someone from Ohio here; I may live in Texas, but my heart is always with the Buckeye State.

When preparing for a Walt Disney World trip, I like to run through a quick checklist before I’m on my way. At the top of my list is locating my Disney Gift Cards. I use them to pay for everything, and I love that by registering them online, I can transfer the balance to a new card should I misplace one. The great news, Brian, is that at Walt Disney World Resort, cash, credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, and Disney Gift Cards are acceptable forms of payment. There may be some smaller carts throughout the property that are unable to accept cash, so I recommend having a credit/debit card or Disney Gift Card available for those instances.

One last thing, Brian. If you are planning to stay at one of the resort hotels, you can also ask a Cast Member to assist you in linking a credit card to your MagicBand+. That way, you could use your MagicBand for purchases as well! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Texas

Hey Y'all! I’m Ashley and I live in Texas. My family and I love trying out the yummy snacks (DOLE Whip anyone!) and taking full advantage of our resort days. When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
