Hi Nanette and welcome to
planDisney! I'm happy to know that you're busy planning your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks for sending us your question.
I'm happy to report that using a digital
Disney Gift Card is a super easy process! I just got back home after a few days at the parks, and I used a digital gift card throughout my visit.
All you have to do is pull up the barcode for your gift card and the Cast Member at a souvenir shop, food cart or even a
table service restaurant will be able to scan it for you to complete your purchase. When visiting a table service restaurant, you may sometimes have to walk with the server to the register. I did this at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, but when I went to
Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary, the server was able to scan my gift card at the table, then they brought the check for me to sign.
If you have more than one gift card, you can also combine the amounts on your Disney Gift Cards to make bigger purchases. I suggest visiting the
official Disney Gift Card website to consolidate your cards.
Once you create an account, you can input gift card information for up to six cards. I add the dollar amounts to just one of the gift cards on the site, then I use that card to make bigger purchases.
Nanette, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your visit. Don't hesitate to come back to see us if you have any more questions. It's always
our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next vacation!
