Hello! After disembarking at Disney cruise this summer, my husband and I are hoping to eat lunch at Boma prior to our late afternoon flight. We will have all our luggage with us—can AKL’s bell services hang on to it for us, or how can we make this feasible

Jambo, Joy! Thanks for bringing this great question to planDisney.

I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be setting sail with Disney Cruise Line this summer! There's no better way to end a magical vacation at sea than with a great advance dining reservation at Walt Disney World ResortBoma - Flavors of Africa is an incredible dining experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and a perfect way to end your trip!

Joy, you have a great question about what to do with your luggage during your early lunch. After speaking with a Cast Member, I was told that Bell Services will typically only hold luggage for those Guests staying at the resort. My best piece of advice would be to arrive earlier than your reservation and speak to a Cast Member when you arrive. Let them know of your situation and that you have a dining reservation and ask if there's a place where you might be able to store your luggage as you eat. While nothing is guaranteed, a Cast Member will be able to help you with the next best steps that are available to you! For example, you may be able to have your luggage near you at your table while you dine.

Please know that, when preparing for your afternoon flight, you'll want to plan for plenty of time to arrive and get situated at the Orlando International Airport. When I recently set up transportation through Mears Transportation on my departure day, I was picked up about four hours prior to my scheduled departure. No matter which transportation you use to get to the airport, just make sure that you have lots of time to account for unexpected delays, traffic, and time to get through security!

I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today, Joy! If you have any other questions, please visit us again.

You've got a friend in me!
