After disembarkation the DCL bus is taking us to the airport. However, our flight isn't until 8:00 pm. Should we visit one of Disney's parks? Or do you have any other suggestions? My kids are 7 and 4.

Welcome aboard, Gretchen! That last morning of a Disney cruise is always bittersweet. You will have had such an amazing time that it will be hard to leave. But since you don't fly out until later that night, a quick trip to the Walt Disney World resort might be just the way to end your magical vacation.

If you take Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation to the airport, you'll realize how expensive a taxi ride from the airport to the Walt Disney World resort will be. I wouldn't recommend doing that. But, since you do have the entire day, as all guests must be off the ship by 9:00, and most likely you'll be off well before then, you might consider canceling the ground transportation to the airport and just renting a car near the port, driving to Walt Disney World and returning the car at the airport that evening. You can put your suitcases in the car so they're safe while you explore that day, since you won't be able to send them ahead to the airport, not using Disney's ground transportation.

Depending on your budget, you could either buy one day tickets for the parks or skip that expense and spend a few fun hours at Downtown Disney. If you're not too concerned about price, perhaps a day in the Magic Kingdom would be perfect for your seven and four year old. Take in some attractions, a parade, a nice lunch and early dinner, then head back to the airport. Do plan to make advanced dining reservations if you spend a day in the park, as those fill up quickly.

I hope that helps, Gretchen! Let me know if you have more questions before you set sail!
