Hi Moms!!! We are discussing a return trip again this October because last year's trip was SO FUN!!! We stayed at the Cabins, but was thinking of staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Is the transportation to the parks good from Port Orleans? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer!

I'm so glad that you are coming back to Walt Disney World! Port Orleans - Riverside is an excellent resort! I toured the resort when I was there in December. The resort is beautiful, surrounding a lake, and has an abundance of recreation options!

The transportation at this resort is bus for all four of the Walt Disney World parks and a boat or bus to Downtown Disney. The main (South Depot) bus stop is located at on the right as you exit the Sassagoula Steamboat Company main building. There are also stops throughout the resort along the Sassagoula Circle perimeter road. The stops go in the following order:

*West Depot (Alligator Bayou - Lodges 24-26 and 28-35)
*North Depot (Alligator Bayou - Lodges 36-39) and Acadian House
*East Depot (Behind Magnolia Terrace and also serves Oak Manor)

Depending on which bus stop you are on, your time to the park will vary. It can take approximately 45 minutes to get from the resort to the park. If you are the first on the bus, your time will be longer, but you will ensure you have a seat. If you enter on a later stop, you will have less time on the bus, but may need to stand.

Please let me know if you need anything else!

    Magically,
    Stacy
