    Is there a discount for Veteran's? We are planning a 8 day visit to FL and plan to be at Disneyworld for 4 of those days :) he has his VA card

    From all of us at planDisney, thank you for your family's service! We are grateful. My family is a military one, just like yours, and I am so thankful for the many opportunities Walt Disney World Resort has shown their appreciation for service members and their families. There are two types of tickets offered for service members, so let's discuss them both:

    • Disney Military Salute: These are 4, 5, or 6-day passes sold at a steep discount at Shades of Green Resort, or your nearest military installation. These are available for active duty, retiree, and 100% disabled Veterans, as well as officers of the USPHS and NOAA. These passes can have Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, or the Water & Sports Options added to them, and they are considered "inactive" until you arrive at Walt Disney World. Stop by Guest Relations at any of the theme park entrances (or Disney Springs) to "activate" them. The service member (or their spouse) will need to present their military ID. Once this step is done, you're good to go!
    • Magic Your Way Tickets: These are regular theme park tickets, sold at a slight discount at Shades of Green or your nearest base. These are available to not only the three I mentioned above, but also to honorably discharged Veterans. These tickets are active from the get-go; there is no need to stop at Guest Relations to do anything. Tania, this ticket is your best option the service member in your family should have no issues purchasing these. They can also add Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, or the Water & Sports Option if that is something you all want!
