How do I use disability access

Welcome to planDisney, Jerry! Or, as they say in Texas, "Howdy!" You'll arrive at Walt Disney World Resort soon, so let's mosey on down and talk about how Disability Access Service (DAS) will work during your visit. I love how this tool helps guests who need help waiting in traditional queues enjoy the Disney magic.

The first step is to register for DAS via video chat. Guests can do this 30 days before arrival and even onsite. When you're ready to determine eligibility, you can request a live chat online or on your mobile app. Remember that the guest requesting DAS must be present during the call for a photo.

Once you've been approved for the service and have entered a theme park, you can use the DAS section in your mobile app to select attractions. While DAS won't give you immediate access to an attraction, it will consider the current standby wait time and allow your party to return in about that amount of time. This means you can make a selection, go about your day, and head to the attraction when your return window opens.

After enjoying an attraction, you'll have a 10-minute wait before you can select your next one. Just remember that the person registered for the service must scan in at the attraction so any linked guests can join. Please keep in mind that these procedures can change, so stay up to date by reviewing the DAS information online before future visits.

I also recommend looking over the Accessibility information online for tips and ideas for making your vacation spectacular for everyone in your group. Whether someone has mobility issues or vision concerns, you can find helpful suggestions for making magical memories during your trip.

Meeting characters is a highlight for my family when we're at the parks. I hope you have a rootin-tootin visit at Disney's Hollywood Studios where you can meet everyone's favorite cowboy, Woody. You can find him in Toy Story Land and compare stories about living on the range and finding snakes in your Texas-sized boots!

Jerry, I hope you have a rip-roaring visit! Please stop by planDisney anytime, partner.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
