Hi Alberto,
Welcome to planDisney. I'm delighted that you decided to be our guest today and I'm ready to assist!
Dining at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite things to chat about. There are so many incredible restaurants to experience and tons of globally inspired food and beverage items to please every palate. As I'm sure you've seen, the booking process and experience will vary depending on location. Let's walk through a few examples so you are prepared to dig in.
At all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet locations like
1900 Park Fare or family-style restaurants such as
Liberty Tree Tavern, each guest on the reservation will be charged for a meal. Your guest can certainly choose not to eat, but because these locations are unlimited, plate sharing is not permitted. À la carte Table Service venues usually have more flexibility, with each guest able to order individual items to suit their appetite. The exception would be for dining events or pre-paid experiences.
If you plan to dine at
Cinderella's Royal Table, for instance, each guest on the reservation will be charged at the time of booking. Even if a member of your party decides not to eat, they will still be present to enjoy the Characters and atmosphere which is factored into the pricing. I reached out to a Cast Member regarding other pre-fixed meals such as
Be Our Guest Restaurant and
Space 220 Restaurant. While these locations are not pre-paid, they do still offer a specialty experience. I was advised that it will be up to the Cast Members' discretion at each location. I recommend speaking with a Cast Member when checking in for your meal to confirm the policy.
I hope this gives you a clearer picture of your options, Alberto. If you'd like recommendations for more dining experiences, I'd be happy to share my favorites across the parks and resorts. Please don't hesitate to come back and put our service to the test again!
Magic and memories,
Amy
