Hi, Erin! I am so glad you stopped in with your delicious dining question.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall was once a favorite of my little (and now very tall) princess. She asked every single trip for a breakfast visit to this dining location because she adored Belle. I always obliged because I adored the breakfast potatoes served there! One thing that sticks out in my mind about our mornings there is that I always tried to get a dining reservation close to 11:00 a.m. This gave us plenty of time to ride our favorite Epcot attractions before chatting with Belle and her friends. Since lunch does not begin service until 11:55 a.m. each day, then that 11:00 a.m. dining reservation ensured I could get my much-desired breakfast potatoes after we designed a few fast cars on Test Track and went Soarin' Around the World.
Erin, along with the platter of breakfast foods that will be delivered to the table, you will be also able to enjoy the buffet. This usually has various kinds of yogurts and accompaniments, pastries, meats and cheeses, a variety of cold salads, and several types of fish. Since your timing puts you so close to lunch, you may find that the buffet will be swapped out towards the end of your meal. The yogurt is swapped out for a wider variety of salads and there is usually a similar selection of meats, cheeses, and fish. While you may possibly be able to enjoy some of the lunch buffet, you will not be able to order a lunch menu item. If you would like to have the Traditional Kjottkaker with lingonberries (I love those meatballs!), then you will need to look for a later dining reservation time.
I hope this information helps you plan for your day in Epcot! Thanks for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
