Hi Joe!
Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in August and thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney!
As you know, as part of the phased re-opening of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Theme Parks, there have been a few changes to ensure the
health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. As a part of those changes, there have been a
few enhancements to Disney dining experiences. At the current time, the
Disney Dining Plan is not being offered and there has not yet been an announcement for when it will return. While I am not sure when the Disney Dining Plan will return, I do anticipate it coming back.
In the meantime, I suggest planning out the dining that you want to experience when you are at the parks and resorts. You can begin making your
Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days in advance, so it's helpful to have a plan ahead of time!
If you are looking for character dining,
Garden Grill at
EPCOT and
Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom are excellent choices. There are also several wonderful signature dining restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. Signature dining experiences require two table service credits from your dining plan and offer an amazing opportunity to splurge on fine dining. Some of my favorites include the
Hollywood Brown Derby,
Narcoosee's, and
Le Cellier.
You can also build in some
quick service options you would like to make sure to try out, such as
The Lunching Pad at Disney's Magic Kingdom.
For the latest updates on the Disney Dining Plan, keep an eye out on the
Disney Parks Blog or come back to planDisney as the date of your vacation nears.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
