Aloha, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney!
Your advance dining reservation window (60 days before your visit) is steadily approaching! It’s definitely time to get those vacation plans solidified, especially those to satisfy the rumbly in your tumbly.
One of the best shows on Walt Disney World Resort property was the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, but the show was discontinued a few years ago. However, there are some other experiences that can hold a torch to this beloved show.
At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you can still enjoy
South Pacific flavors. For dinner, you’ll be captivated by a roaming musician who plays the ukulele, indulge in ‘Ohana Noodles and other all-you-care-to-enjoy Hawaiian-inspired fare, and even be delighted by a nighttime view of Cinderella Castle.
AN EXTRA GEM: Breakfast at ‘Ohana is also a hit with my kiddos, who love the Stitch- and Mickey-shaped waffles. As a bonus, the breakfast is a character dining meal, so you’ll get a table visit or two from Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch!
This Resort hotel is also the home of
Kona Cafe and
Captain Cook’s. Although there won’t be much entertainment (besides the beautifully unique Polynesian-inspired decor), these are great options to keep the island vibes going. Both of these restaurants can usually be found on Mobile Ordering in the
My Disney Experience App, which I love because that means a little to no waiting in a queue when you arrive.
I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about the dinner show that still remains at The Most Magical Place on Earth. The
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is the perfect experience to chow down on Southern homestyle classics like fried chicken and cornbread. And the live entertainment will have you dancing in your seat and laughing nonstop.
Please revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions, Jennifer.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
