Hello, Sharon! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You will have no problem getting out of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park’s parking lot two hours after the Park has closed. I recently spoke with a Cast Member at the Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and she said it’s quite typical for Guests to finish their meals long after the Theme Park has closed for the day. She said that in addition to having complimentary Resort Transportation available back to the official Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Guests will have no problem exiting the parking lot in their own vehicles. Depending on exactly how long you’re there past the official closing time, you may not be able to take a tram to your car, but in my experience the entire Animal Kingdom parking lot is easily walkable.

I hope you enjoy your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Sharon. I’m not sure when you’ll be arriving, but if it’s during the Holiday season, make sure you check out some of the amazing new Holiday offerings like the gorgeous luminaries and the new Tree of Life “awakening.” My family and I also love the new iteration of Rivers of Light: We Are One--the music and the lights and the projections come together to make something truly magical!

Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you as you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Sharon. We’re always happy to help!
