Welcome Fiona!
It's great to have you with us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for dropping in with your question.
It is wonderful to share with you that you should expect just as lovely a meal at 8:20 P.M. as you would if your plans included a meal hours earlier. You will likely only realize that the theme park is slowing down until you step out into the Pavillion and notice that you are one of a handful of families casually enjoying the beautiful and peaceful stroll towards the exit. All menu items should be offered and you will have plenty of time to savor every delicious bite.
On a recent visit to one of our "Must do" restaurants,
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort, I managed to lift my gaze from the my plate of steamy and delicious snow crab legs to notice that we we only joined by one or two additional families in the dining room. I checked. It was later than the scheduled closing time. Eeek! I remarked to my husband that we should probably wrap up. Not three minutes later, the Chef appeared from the back to deliver fresh trays of each of the desserts! Entire trays! I indulged in those flowerless chocolate cake squares and boston cream treats substantially more than was needed, but they were so beautiful in presentation and delicious. It was my duty.
Then, and this was incredible, the Chef visited our table to surprise our daughters with a beautiful Minnie Mouse Pin Trading pin! They forgot their lanyards that evening, so they held them, turning them round and around in their hands for the entire journey back to our Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It was the perfect touch of magic to end our night, and all technically after hours.
I hope you enjoy all of the unique and tasty offerings from around the
world, regardless of the hour.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
