Bonjour, Stacy! I
hEAR you have a dinner planned at
Be Our Guest Restaurant! This is one of Walt Disney World Resort's most popular restaurants, and while it is known for its French-inspired fare, it is even more famous for its elaborate theming.
You'll find it located in
Magic Kingdom Park in the far back section of Fantasyland. When you enter, you'll be enchanted by the magnificent Grand Ballroom, which has a 20-foot ceiling with fluffy clouds and cherubs and sparkling chandeliers. If you decide to dine in here, ask for a "window" table; no matter the weather in Orlando that day, you will see slowly drifting snowflakes outside! However, my favorite dining room is The West Wing. It features a portrait of the Prince, which magically changes to the Beast every so often. It also has the magic rose with petals that fall periodically as time runs out for the Beast. If you wish to meet the master of the house, he can often be found greeting guests in his study after dinner.
Last yEAR, Be Our Guest made some changes to its menu, and dinner now includes a prix fixe, three-course meal. Having an 11-year-old son myself, I understand all too well that even though they are considered "adults" at Walt Disney World, kiddos this age can still have picky palates. My recommendation would be to talk to your server before ordering to see if your daughter would be able to make her selections from the kids' menu. In all likelihood, they'll likely be happy to oblige, and they may offer to bring her an adult-sized portion; however, you will probably still have to pay the adult's price for the meal. I'd also have her take a look at the dinner menu. If there's nothing that appeals to her, consider switching your reservation to a different time of day. Breakfast and lunch are unique at Be Our Guest Restaurant in that guests can make Advanced Dining Reservations, even though these meals are considered a Counter Service experience.
I hope your meal is très délicieux, Stacy! Please write back if there's anything else we can do!
