Dinner Question - If we have resv @ HS; but want to visit MK all day, should we have a hopper? Or do you recommend park/dinner in same place? If so, can we do park in the and dinner pm, no hopper needed?

    Greetings Anastasia!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! If you plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park during the day and Disney's Hollywood Studios on that same day for dinner, you will need a Magic Your Way Park Hopper Ticket. The Park Hopper Option is needed in order to visit more than one park on the same day, even for dining purposes. That said, Guests may leave and reenter the same park that they visited earlier that day without needing the Park Hopper Option.  When my children were younger, we always went back to our room for an afternoon nap and then returned to that same park in the evening. So, if you decide to change your Advanced Dining Reservation to a restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park and you spent the morning there, you wouldn't need to add the Park Hopper Option to your Magic Your Way Base Ticket.

I do like having the flexibility that comes with the Magic Your Way Park Hopper Ticket, but we tend to "park hop" more on extended trips. When coming down for just one day or a short weekend, we don't want to spend the extra time moving from one park to the next. However, if you see that you will have time to incorporate a few attractions or shows into your evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios, then you may want to consider purchasing a Magic Your Way Park Hopper Ticket.

I hope that I have answered your questions. Please don't hesitate to send me a follow-up question if I can be of further assistance. Best wishes for a magical trip, Anastasia!

    Happy planning,
    Jodie
