Welcome aboard, Warren! I love to see another family from Ohio planning a magical vacation at sea with Disney Cruise Line! My family and I are anxiously awaiting our upcoming sailing later this fall when we can escape the chilly Ohio weather and head south for the warm waters of the Caribbean and Bahamas!
One of the best things about dining on a Disney cruise is the
Rotational Dining. Each family is assigned a dining rotation that will take them through all three of the main restaurants with the same dining service team. There are different rotations, and you will find out your exact rotation when you arrive at port on embarkation day. However, if you'd like to request a specific rotation, Disney allows guests to do this. Simply call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532. You can add a request onto your reservation to be in the dining rotation that has you in say, Animator's Palate on Pirate Night, for example. Though they cannot guarantee these requests, I've found that they do their very best to accommodate them.
On the Dream's four night sailings, typically
Pirate Night takes place in the evening after visiting Castaway Cay for the day. This is always subject to change, and varies by itinerary, but for the most part, that is when it is scheduled on the Dream's four night sailings.
If you haven't already, be sure to check out the
Adult Exclusive Dining at Palo and Remy. Though there is an extra cost, it is worth every penny for the fine dining and ambience of these specialty restaurants. Have fun planning, and please feel free to stop back with more questions before you set sail, Warren! We're happy to help!
