Hello, when will dining reservations open for NYE? I am trying to book dinner for my family to watch the fireworks and understand it should open 60 days in advance. Thank you.

    Hey there, Caroline!

New Year's Eve is a special time at the Disneyland Resort! Not only is it a fun way to start the new year, but the Happiest Place on Earth usually does TWO firework spectaculars on the same night (make sure to confirm this first on the entertainment schedule).

Usually, dining packages are available to book within 60 days of the visit date. For the Plaza Inn Dining Package for New Year's Eve, I recommend trying to book as soon as possible, as New Year's Eve is a popular visit date for the Disneyland Resort. Should you not be able to book a dining package, do not stress -- you can still get a great view of the fireworks if you secure your spot early enough before the show (I recommend at least an hour, maybe more -- so bring something for entertainment like a deck of cards).

And if you have a late night planned for New Year's Eve, you may want to consider kicking off New Year's Day with a late brunch somewhere at the Disneyland Resort, such as a character dining brunch at Storytellers Café. I ate here with my family not too long ago and had the best time ever.

    Happy new year,
