Hey John, thank you for your question. I would be happy to offer some advice.
Disneyland Resort does not publicly publish the exact time reservations become available on the
Disneyland Resort website, and based on personal experience, the times do appear to vary. When I'm planning a trip with my family, I do my best to check the site periodically to
book a reservation successfully. When I cannot secure a
dining reservation, I opt for stand-by and try to go during off-peak hours to increase my chances (i.e., an early lunch or an early dinner when demand is lower).
The
Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park is a wonderful sit-down dining option for people of all ages, and I
never leave this restaurant hungry. Whenever I visit this restaurant with my husband and son, we always order the
Lobster Nachos appetizer to accompany our entrees. The Lobster Nachos is so large, you can easily split the appetizer with four people. And for an entree, I love the
Lamplight Lounge's Cheddar Burger. I'm starting to get hungry just thinking about it!
And a fun fact for the adults in your party--the Lamplight Lounge has a secret cocktail menu! A crowd favorite secret cocktail is the Fun Wheel, a colorful and fruity take on the long-island ice tea. There's also the Sea Witch, which tastes like a jolly rancher, and the strawberry and rose-flavored Melrose.
Enjoy your family dinner at the Lamplight Lounge. Not only is all the food delicious, but the views of Pixar Pier are incredible.
Happy eating,
Lola
