I want to make dining reservations at Akershus, but my family isn't large volume eaters. Are you allowed to take your leftovers or dessert out with you?

    Dear Kristie,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning for your upcoming meal at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

My family loves Akershus Royal Banquet Hall also, and I know that you will have a royally delicious time there on your upcoming trip! If you haven't been there, it is an unusual meal! The appetizer course is served buffet-style, and then the main entree and dessert are served individually at your table.

My family was pretty much full after the appetizer course (oops!) this summer, so we actually did ask them to box up most of our entrees and desserts to take with us. We carry a soft-sided cooler, so we placed everything in there and one member of our party who happened to be headed back to the hotel took it with him. It wasn't a problem for them at all. I would of course assume that they would prefer that you not remove food from the appetizer buffet.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
